Pimpernel Jones (Herma Puma/First Word Records) comes through with his latest project, a work of blood, sweat, and tears. Battling time itself, the album was created entirely in February 2019 as part of the RPM Challenge.

The annual challenge is to make an album in a month, and it always brings interesting results.

"Sometimes the beats came easy, sometimes I had to push hard to get ideas down and finished, but forcing yourself to create is always a great exercise!"

This year I challenged myself further by picking up and learning live bass, piano, and all sorts of percussion - my youtube history is now filled with cabasa tutorials....

Mostly this LP reflects my reconnection with my trusty MPC, which had been out of action for 3 years. Me & my MPC making the head-nodder beats that I love.
